Buxton Talking Newspaper is a local voluntary organisation that provides free audio copies of news and features from the ‘Buxton Advertiser’ and other local publications.  It is available free of charge to people who are blind or partially sighted or who have difficulty reading print or holding a newspaper.  

Hearing Help UK information

There is a local self-help group for the hard-of-hearing run by hearinghelpuk

which meets in Pavilion Gardens from 10:30 to 11:30 on the first Tuesday of the month.

There is a local support group of the Macular Society which meets from 1:30 to 3:00pm on the second Friday of every month in the lower room of Buxton Methodist Church
