Buxton Talking Newspaper is a local voluntary organisation that provides free audio copies of news and features from the ‘Buxton Advertiser’ and other local publications.  It is available free of charge to people who are blind or partially sighted or who have difficulty reading print or holding a newspaper.  

There is a local support group of the Macular Society which meets from 1:30 to 3:00pm on the second Friday of every month in the lower room of Buxton Methodist Church

Zink empowers people and families to build a better future no matter what they’ve been through. When a crisis happens, we provide emergency food and advice to sort out the cause and plan a future. Our work coaches help into work, education or training alongside a range of activities and interests that enable people to grow, learn and mix.
