The Model Railway group changed its name in May 2026 to The Railway Group, to reflect that while the group continues with model railways, it visits exhibitions and preservation railways. The group's portable model railway layout continues to evolve and is occassionally exhibited locally. New potential members are very welcome to come along to a group meeting to see what the group gets up to!

The group has drawn up a Memorandum of Agreement (click to download a copy) which all group members subscribe to.
