How do I join and how much does it cost?

You can join by downloading the application form as a Word document or as a pdf here. The instructions are on the form.

If you have any questions or you do not have a printer, please inform the Membership Secretary, Tineke Bosma Tineke Bosma.

Membership of the Buxton & District u3a for 2025 is £47 per year all-in cost (1st April 2025 – 31st March 2026). The fee is reduced if you join as a new member later in the year - see the table below.

1st April and 30th June	£47
1st July and 30th September	£36
1st October and 31st December	£24
1st January and 31st March	£12

Renewals are on the 1st April every year for the full £47

Membership of another u3a does not entitle you to attend any of our groups although you will be asked to pay a reduced fee for associate membership. Please get in touch with the membership secretary for details.

You can have two 'taster' sessions before you join. Once you are a member you can join any group and as many as you like. Just contact the Group leader through the relevant group page under 'Groups' for any group you are interested in.
