Bakewell Old House Museum

I have recently started in my role as the new Manager Curator of the Bakewell Old House Museum. I have noticed that whilst we get many tourists into the museum, we seem to struggle to get visits from local people from Bakewell and the surrounding towns and villages.
To try and rectify this, I am offering a group entry discount to all local history, U3A, WI (etc.) groups. Our usual entrance ticket costs £7.50 but this is reduced to £5 per person if a local group arranges their visit in advance with me and pays via invoice (paying separately on the day increases the cost to £6.50 per person). We are also able to offer tea/coffee and biscuits served in the Tudor Hall/houseplace for an additional £2 per person.
There is an option to combine your visit with a tour of Bakewell with one of our extremely knowledgeable tour guides. If this is something you would like to do, then please let me know and we can discuss costs on an individual basis.
This is not in any way a time limited offer, so you do not need to rush to visit us! Whenever you are next thinking about a trip out as a group then please consider us and if you would like to make a booking then please call on 01629 813 642. If you are not able to visit as a group but members of your society would still like to visit us then I can arrange for a small number of one pound off entry vouchers to be delivered to you.
