September Charabanc was to the University of Liverpool's Ness Botanical Garden. A coach full of excited members made their way from Buxton. The weather on the way was grey and drizzling but as soon as they reached the gardens, Trish waved her magic wand and rain stopped and the skies brightened up. The visit started with coffee / tea and biscuits in a private room then everyone was given substantial time to walk around and getting a bite to eat. Two groups were given a guided tour by either the Head Gardener or the Plant Identification Manager. These were very interesting to those who attended and shown plants that one would ordinarily miss. They identified plants that would be magnificent in Spring, which gave an appetite to members to make a return visit then. For those that would have had difficulty in the walk around the gardens, mobility scooters were provided which were very welcome.
At the end of the visit, some members took advantage of the gift shop or plant nursery to grab a bargain.
