As you know, this year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Buxton & District u3a! From our humble beginnings in 1996—starting with just a handful of members and 5 original groups—we have grown into a thriving community.

To celebrate this incredible milestone, we are thrilled to announce a flagship event: the Creative Arts and Leisure Showcase (CALS).

What is CALS?

The showcase is completely open to the public and will take place at the Palace Hotel Ballroom serves two exciting purposes:

  • For Current Members: A fantastic opportunity to explore the diverse activities, projects, and talents thriving within our different groups.
  • For the Community: An open forum to show the public who we are, what we do, and the vibrant social and educational community we offer.

Looking to the future

We hope CALS will inspire visitors to join us, bring fresh perspectives, and even help launch new interest groups.

Our Group Leaders and Co-ordinators are already working on some incredibly exciting proposals to display their groups' achievements. Watch this space for further updates and details!
