This training will be delivered by Karen Dobson, the road safety officer for Derbyshire County Council and her team. The training is aimed at mature drivers and at present includes

• Driving Skills - The Highway Code, smart motorways, seatbelts, transporting children

• The Body – eyesight, hazard perception, changing hearing, planning ahead

• Impairments – considering medical conditions, driving under the influence

• Moving Forward – changes to driving, driving assessments, blue badge scheme, vehicle adaptations

There may be some changes to the syllabus in the months to come.
