'Unpicking Couture' is an exhibition of spectacular high end fashion at the Manchester Art Gallery & Book Group 2 visited to view the posh frocks and wander around the fascinating gallery. Across the road is the Portico Library  & we headed there for a delicious lunch. It's a small library but we recommend a visit to see part of Manchester's history and enjoy a meal in cosy surroundings. We also managed to discuss our latest book 'Small things like these' by Claire Keegan a poignant, haunting read that deals with the Magdalen Laundries. All in all, a very good day!
