Go Beyond

We are currently looking for Residential Break Volunteers to join our breaks throughout the year. Our Daleside Centre, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, provides five-day residential breaks where children can take a break from the challenges they face, enjoy new experiences, build confidence, make friendships and create positive memories in a safe and supportive environment.

Volunteers spend Monday to Friday with us, working alongside our experienced Break Leaders to support children through activities, games and daily routines

No previous experience working with children is required. We provide full training, safeguarding support, accommodation and meals throughout the residential break.

Please contact volunteer co-ordinator Natalis Ozioro for more information 01822 811119

Connex Community Support Befriending in Chapel en le Frith

Our service is a charity that is responsible for the coordination of volunteers to visit people, over 65, who are lonely and isolated. The volunteers aim to provide companionship and something for our clients to look forward to each week. Usually a volunteer will visit people in their own home, for about an hour a week, to enjoy a cup of tea together and a chat. Some of our volunteers are happy to go out for short walks or to go to a cafe for a coffee too. The visits can make a huge difference to our clients but can also be a very positive and rewarding experience for our volunteers too.

We run this service successfully in Buxton and would really like to be able to offer this support to more of the residents of Chapel. If you feel you could help us to find or become a new volunteer in Chapel or you would like further information please don’t hesitate to call/ email us.
